Adam Was Greedy and Chose Knowledge

Probably, (speaking metaphorically,) it wasn’t some humanoid that ‘ate a bite of some forbidden fruit’ which put us at odds with the laws of nature. …… it was the first monkey that picked up a rock and harmed another monkey to take what it had. Or attached a flat rock to a stick, in order to extract ‘more than its share’ from the earth which put us at odds with the laws of nature.

Spiritually, environmentally, and mechanically, Adam took things into his own hands.

If the idea comes across effectively using metaphors like apples, ribs, trees, and snakes, to an agrarian society with practically no education then so be it, but something gets lost in translation, that, in fact, there really is something going on here.

As I watch humanity swarm over the face of the planet, like ants, consuming an apple, or termites, consuming an ancient building, I realize that humankind, while capable of kindness, is a blind, selfish consumer.

Like any animal that would eat all of the food in front of it before the weekend was over and not conserve to make it through the week, Mankind has descended on the planet and is simply, blindly, using it up. Disrupting an incalculable number of ecosystems and environmental balances.

Humankind in the proverbial “we“ sense – WAS given a garden of Eden. Painstakingly, created, and balanced, and a world in which we fit perfectly.

It was the advent of “knowledge“ …of ways to live in colder climates, garment ourselves against certain dangers, collect fruits and vegetables, and animals, where they might, at one time of been inaccessible, that has allowed us to de-stabilize, the world, or the globe in which we live instead of living, according to the laws of nature.

We are playing God, we have usurped God and we live outside the balance that would’ve been conserved if we had lived within the environmental and spiritual frameworks of the original garden of Eden. That delicate ecosystem.

Greed, avarice, deceit, gluttony, are all intellectual constructs which are not suffered, or endured by lower species. And all of which require manmade implements to allow. It was the first monkey that picked up a rock and harmed another monkey to take what it had. Or attached a flat rock to a stick, in order to extract ‘more than its share’ from the earth which put us at odds with the laws of nature.
